One person was taken to Newman Regional Health after a motorcycle crash in south-central Emporia on Sunday evening.
Firefighters and police officers were initially called to the 400 block of West Kansas Avenue but found the downed motorcycle in the 300 block of South West, just east of Riverside Elementary, shortly before 7:30 pm. The driver, a man, was taken to Newman Regional Health afterward.
Initial indications are the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved, but details about how the crash transpired are currently unclear and may not be released until Monday.
