The 17th annual Wildlife Appreciation and Conservation Days hosted by Bluestem Farm and Ranch came to an end on Saturday.
The 2nd day in the 2-day celebration featured various amounts of activities for children including Hoverball archery and a virtual rifle simulator as well as a wide selection of vendors. Nonprofit organizations, such as the Cub Scouts and the Kansas Bowhunters Association, also made an appearance promoting outdoor activity to the community.
An organization that stood out among the crowd was the Kansas Muzzleloading Association, who promoted the sport of shooting the historical guns and why it’s important for the current generation.
Former KMA President Doug Nulik says that it’s better at teaching marksmanship in hunters.
Another notable organization that was involved was the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism who are at the forefront of conserving the wildlife within America just game species.

The event ended on Saturday and gave out plenty of prizes over the course of two days with the grand prize being a Ruger 10/22 rifle.
