A man accused of sexual activity with a teenager will be back in Lyon County District Court in October.
Following a review hearing in district court Tuesday afternoon, Lucio Meza-Oliva was set for a preliminary hearing date of Oct. 9 at 2 pm. Meza-Oliva was supposed to have a hearing last week, but that was delayed after he changed attorneys.
Meza-Oliva is accused of single counts of indecent solicitation, indecent liberties and aggravated witness intimidation for alleged acts against a 16-year-old child. The affidavit is currently sealed, so case details have not been announced.
Separately, A pretrial hearing is now on the docket for Oct. for a man accused of aggravated battery following an incident in the Lyon County Jail earlier this year.
Marcel Wamser now has a pretrial hearing date of Oct. 4 after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing in Lyon County District Court Tuesday. Wamser is accused of one count of aggravated battery after a reported altercation May 21 involving Wamser and a second inmate.
Wamser’s accused of attacking a second inmate, with injuries prompting medical treatment at Newman Regional Health afterward.
