Emporia Christian School is having a smooth start to the 2019 academic year.
Principal Trisha Fullerton says there are new ventures at the school, including a cross country team as a partnership with Emporia Middle School.
The Christian School has close to 80 students from preschool to eighth grade. Fullerton says the school has been upgrading its technology recently, thanks to the PTO.
Like Sacred Heart School, the Christian School can’t tap into public school funding for its operations. Fullerton says the school relies on tuition and churches or residents who appreciate the education model. An anonymous donor is also contributing regular amounts to hold tuition steady at $1,500 per year.
