The Emporia High boys soccer team opened play in the Wichita South Titan Classic with a 16-0 win over Circle in a match that was over at halftime Monday.
The Spartans scored early and often holding a 10-0 with 20 minutes left to play in the first half.
Elijah Williams led the offense with 4 goals. Wilber Landaverde and Hector Hernandez each scored 3 goals. Aiden Allemang scored 2 goals.
The Spartans will play Salina Central in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
With the win the Spartans are 2-0 to start the season and have out scored their first two opponents 25-0.
