Lyon County commissioners have an action session Thursday morning.
Commissioners may well republish the current-year budget, giving more line-item authority in the multi-year fund to continue work on the $1.5 million city-county radio project and similar authority in the Road and Bridge fund to cover repairs to the county’s gravel road network after five separate rounds of flooding earlier this year.
Commissioners will also consider a zoning change application from Lex and Janice Price. They are requesting a change from agriculture to heavy industrial for almost 320 acres of land in the 1500 block of Road 200. If approved, the land would then be marketed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe as part of its certified rail site program.
Commissioners will also get an update from Emporia State President Allison Garrett and have four executive sessions.
The meeting starts at 8 am in the County Courthouse.
