The Oakland A’s slipped past the Kansas City Royals 2-1 Tuesday night.
The A’s scored a run in the 2nd inning on a bases loaded walk and added a single run in the 3rd inning. The Royals scored a run in the 6th when Hunter Dozier scored on a Alex Gordon dobule. The Royals left 7 runners on base and were 1-8 with runners in scoring position.
The Royals and A’s play again Wednesday night. Jakob Junis will be on the mound for the Royals with first pitch set for 7:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals could be adding both Danny Duffy and Adalberto Mondesi back to the roster.
Duffy is on the injured list because of a strained left hamstring.
Mondesi is on the injured list because of a left shoulder subluxation, could be activated by Sunday, the first day of September callups. Mondesi currently is rehabbing with Triple-A Omaha.
