The Emporia State volleyball team has been selected 8th in the MIAA Coaches preseason poll.
The Lady Hornets return 8 players from last years team including Yuchen Du a 2nd team All MIAA selection.
Washburn is picked number 1 by the coaches with 7 first place votes.
Nebraska Kearney is 2nd, Central Missouri is 3rd. Both received 2 first place votes.
Central Oklahoma is 4th. Northwest Missouri State, Missouri Western and Pittsburg State are 5th, 6th and 7th.
After Emporia State its Missouri Southern, Fort Hays State and Newman.
Emporia State begins their season September 6th at the Washburn Invitational.
