Up and coming filmmakers from all over the world will be showing off their films during the first annual No Coast Film Festival on August 31st.
According to Marketing Director Rosalie Krenger, the NCFF is a group, started by Jamie Darcy, who have come together using their talents and love for film to celebrate cinema. The members are from all different parts of society including student interns from Emporia State University.
Krenger also talks to KVOE News about how the event demonstrates the community’s support for the arts.
The NCFF is partnered with Halfway to Everywhere this year for a free admission event that will have blocks for different genres from 10 am to 6 pm and an awards ceremony for the shorts at 5:15 with three awards being the Grand Jury Prize, the Audience Award, and the Kraken Award. At 6 there will be a premiere of Buckshot by Joshua Smith with a live Q&A after the film at 7:20.
