Back to Back home runs by Nicky Lopez and Nick Dini in the 7th inning lifted the Kansas City Royals to a 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles Monday night.
Whit Merrifield drove in a run with a single and Hunter Dozier drove in 2 runs with a single in the 6th inning.
For Dini it was his first career home run.
Jorge Lopez was the winning pitcher. Ian Kennedy picked up his 22nd save.
The Royals and Orioles play again Tuesday night with Brad Keller on the mound for the Royals. First pitch is set for 6:05p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
Former Royals outfielder Billy Hamilton was claimed off waivers by the Atlanta Braves Monday.
