Severe weather has been affecting parts of the KVOE listening area since 9 pm.

Severe thunderstorm warning: south Coffey until 1 am
A severe thunderstorm watch affects Lyon, Coffey, Greenwood, Osage and Wabaunsee counties until 7 am Friday.
Storm reports
*Damage assessments are pending after reports of several tornadoes in Wabaunsee County, including reports outside Alta Vista and Volland
*A semi was also reportedly blown over by high winds on the Kansas Turnpike near the Admire-Council Grove exit
*Ping pong ball-sized hail in Americus
*Quarter-sized hail was reported near Allen
*Quarter-sized hail near Bethel Corner
*Over 700 Westar Energy customers are offline in Americus, Bushong and Allen as storms continued. Small outages were also reported in Council Grove and Dwight
*Over 500 Lyon-Coffey customers are offline from Emporia north to Allen
*Downed pole blocking part of Industrial Road.
*Tree fire reported in the 1900 block of Holiday
