Most of the KVOE listening area is in a tornado watch through the end of Thursday.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties effective until midnight. Besides isolated tornadoes, hail to the size of tennis balls and wind gusts up to 70 mph are other severe weather threats. Heavy rain is also possible.
