Thunderstorm chances aren’t great overall through early Saturday, but there is a risk of severe weather from late Thursday afternoon into the upcoming weekend.
Storms may develop by late Thursday, posing a risk of all severe weather hazards through the evening hours. Hail is currently the main concern.
Storms may redevelop Friday afternoon. Again, all severe hazards are possible with damaging wind and large hail the main issues. The current forecast indicates a marginal risk of severe weather for hail and wind activity Saturday morning.
Heavy rainfall is also possible with any storms that develop the next few days.
The National Weather Service says there is “considerable uncertainty” in the storm forecast because each round of storms will impact future activity and it’s unclear how storms will interact with certain atmospheric boundaries through Saturday.
