Lyon County deputies say a motorcycle driver was hurt in a crash north of Emporia on Thursday evening.
Deputy Nathan Rankin says 55-year-old Andre Gibson, hometown not released, was westbound in the 1100 block of Kansas Highway 99 near Roads 240 and L when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a ditch around 6:30 pm. The cause for the crash has not been listed.
Lyon County EMS took Gibson to Newman Regional Health. His condition won’t be released, but Rankin says Gibson had non-life-threatening injuries.
Gibson was not wearing any safety equipment at the time of the crash.

One person brought to Emporia for medical treatment after a crash north of town Thursday evening.
The crash involved a motorcycle and happened at the intersection of Kansas Highway 99 and Road L around 6:30 pm. The motorcycle driver was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
