Isolated thunderstorms are possible through the evening hours, and the storm activity prompted one severe thunderstorm warning near Emporia. However, the warning for northwest Greenwood County issued around 5 pm was canceled about 30 minutes later.
No severe weather has been confirmed with the storms in the area. Currently, no severe thunderstorm watches are in effect for the area.
Shower and storm chances should be ending by mid-evening, but additional rain chances — including the risk of occasionally heavy rain — are in the forecast through Thursday.
