Emporia’s two breastfeeding support programs, from Flint Hills Community Health Center and Newman Regional Health, Celebrated Breastfeeding Awareness on Monday and Tuesday.
The FHCHC celebration took place on Monday right next to the WIC office. The celebration had door prizes like baby shirts, diapers, and nursing Bras that were donated by Leading Lady Bras along side raffle prizes provided by Hygeia Breastfeeding. The event let breastfeeding mothers nurse their children as well as ask questions.

Then on Tuesday NRH a celebration in the breastfeeding clinic on the hospital’s 4th floor. They had raffle prizes including baby supplies and gift basket all donated by Newman staff. There was also pamphlets on breastfeeding and its benefits. the celebration was held to introduce newer mothers to the support group.
