State revenues are starting the fiscal year in good shape, based on one measurement.
Overall tax collections were over $496 million, $2 million above projections. However, collections were almost $3 million below the amount collected in July 2018.
Use tax collections were $3 million above estimates, while retail sales tax collections were about $400,000 down from estimates. Individual income tax collections and corporate income taxes were both about $800,000 below estimates.
