The Toronto Blue Jays scored 3 runs in the 9th to seal a 7-3 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday night.
The Royals scored 1st, Whit Merrifield singled to drive in Cam Gallager in the 3rd inning.
Toronto tied the game in the 5th and took a 3-1 lead in the 6th.
The Royals tied the game in the bottom of the 6th. Cheslor Cuthbert drove in 2 runs with a single.
Toronto retook the lead in the 8th and added to the lead in the 9th. The Blue Jays hit 3 home runs all off of Royals starter Brad Keller.
The Royals and Blue Jays play again Tuesday night. Mike Montgomery will be the starter for the Royals. First pitch is set for 7:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30p.
