A United States Postal Worker voluntarily went to Newman Regional Health after a minor accident in southwest Emporia Saturday afternoon.
Crews were called out to 625 West 5th Avenue for a reported two vehicle injury accident. According to Emporia Police Officer Sinjin Andrews a US Postal Service vehicle was rear ended by a second vehicle as the Postal Service worker was in the process of delivering mail in the vicinity.
According to Officer Andrews, the worker was able to walk to the ambulance following the accident and voluntarily was taken to Newman for further observation for precautionary purposes. The second vehicle sustained minor damage to the front end and the occupants were unharmed.
