The Kansas City Royals out scored the Atlanta Braves 5-4 Tuesday night.
Alex Gordon hit a solo home run in the 6th inning to give the Royals a 2-1 lead.
Lucas Duda added a home run as part of a 3 run 8th inning to give the Royals a lead they did not give up.
Danny Duffy was the starter he gave up 1 run on 5 hits and had season high 11 strikeouts. Tim Hill, the 3rd pitcher used, was the winning pitcher. Ian Kennedy earned his 18th save.
The Royals play the Braves again in Atlanta Tuesday night. Brad Keller will be the Starting pitcher. First pitch is set for 6:20p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
