The Kansas City Royals completed a 4 game sweep of the Chicago White Sox, holding on for a 6-5 win Thursday afternoon.
The White Sox held a 3-0 lead until the Royals scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning. Cheslor Cuthbert hit a solo home run. Jorge Soler hit a 2 run home run. Billy Hamilton drove in 2 runs with a single.
Brad Keller was the winning pitcher going 6 and a 3rd innings giving up 4 runs on 9 hits with 7 strike outs.
The Royals won 6 of the 7 games in their first home stand after the All-Star break. Manager Ned Yost says they are a bunch of fighters.
The Royals go to Cleveland to begin a 3 game series Friday night. Mike Montgomery will make his first start for the Royals this season.
