The Inspiring Wranglers fundraising effort is turning out to be a success before even being completed.
Inspiring Wranglers: The Campaign for Tomorrow’s Chefs is a fundraising campaign being used by Flint Hills Technical College to renovate the Hospitality and Culinary Arts Department.
According to FHTC Vice President of Advancement Mike Crouch, the campaign has seen success in not only raising money but also in gaining the attention of future students.
According to Crouch, the increase in enrollment and support from local businesses helps highlight the growing emphasis on technical education nationwide. He says, due to the business industry’s continuous growth, the demand for technical jobs is growing as well. Often technical jobs come with more added benefits including higher wages and health care packages. The increased benefits often grab the attention of students looking for a financially steady future.
