The Emporia Public Library will be celebrating its 150th anniversary this year with a whole bunch of summer and fall activities that started on Tuesday.
Some of the library activities coming up this summer include the mad science hour on Wednesday that will give kids the chance to look at fruit DNA
Then on July 23rd is Blast Off Into Drawing where a professional artist will come in to help kids learn to draw cartoons they can take home.
The library also has even more planned for the fall season including a speaker series starting September with Dennis Garcia the author of “Marine, Public Servant, Kansan: The Life of Ernest Garcia”, and later in the month a presentation from historical actor Pippa White is planned.
