A Minnesota man suffered suspected minor injuries after a car-semi crash on the Kansas Turnpike southwest of Emporia on Monday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Jesus Reyes-Castro of Le Center was northbound when the crash happened around 10:45 am. Reyes-Castro’s car was traveling well below the posted speed limit with hazard lights on, and a semi driven by 34-year-old Christopher Prather of Wichita could not stop in time to avoid a crash.
Reyes-Castro was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. Prather was not hurt. Both were wearing seatbelts.
