Road construction began Monday on West 12th Avenue between Prairie and Lincoln streets.
Crews are in the process of surface milling and asphalt overlay work. Lane shifts are in effect along the construction zones with short term closures affecting connecting streets. Motorists should be mindful of traffic delays.
The ongoing work is part of the city’s annual Street Rehabilitation Project. Last summer the area saw extensive work, both planned and unplanned, as the city worked to install a new water line and conducted repairs to several nearby lines which failed during that time.
