The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) Junior World Championship is nearing its end, and Friday’s block party helped to set the mood for Saturday’s events.
Friday’s block party was not short on visitors, vendors, or atmosphere. Live music filled the air and provided for much of the night’s entertainment. Those who made it to the semi-finals were there to celebrate, and those who weren’t so lucky were there to congratulate themselves and their competition.
The PDGA Junior World Championship officially began with the opening ceremony July 9th but is set to wrap up Saturday. Semi-finals will kick off the day beginning at 8:00 am at Jones Park East, Jones Park West, Peter Pan Park, Hammond Park, and Flint Hills Technical College. Finals will start at noon at the Emporia Country Club, with the awards ceremony following tentatively at 3:00 pm.
