The City Commission will be holding an action session and a study session on Wednesday.
The commission will be formally adopting the Emporia Friends of the Zoo Master Plan that was presented during the June 26 study session. The plan details the goals, visions, purpose, and intent for the facilities future.
Then following the action session the commission will hold a study session where they will address a presentation of a new Flood Plain map by the Kansas Department of Water Resources and contractors from Wood Environment and Infrastructure. the session will also continue the 2020 and 5-year budgets.
At noon there will be a city and county joint luncheon in the Civic Auditorium’s Little Theatre
The action session will be held at 10:00 am in the municipal courtroom of the Civic building with the study session afterwards in conference room 1AB.
