Garry Wilson will be 90 years old before he’s eligible for parole after his sentencing on child sex abuse crimes Tuesday.
Lyon County Judge Lee Fowler sentenced the 65-year-old Wilson to life in prison with eligibility for parole in 25 years at a hearing Tuesday morning. Wilson also has to be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
Wilson was originally charged in February with single counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties and aggravated indecent solicitation. Authorities said the abuse started in 2016 when the victim was 6 years old.
Prosecutors briefly added a second victim, who was allegedly 5 years old, in a second abuse case dating to 2016. Wilson pleaded no contest to an indecent liberties count in the original case and all other charges were dropped as part of the plea agreement.
