The United States women soccer team has repeated as World Cup Champions. Team USA shutout the Netherlands 2-0 to win the Championship.
Megan Rapinoe scored the first goal in the 61st minute of play on a penalty kick. Rose Luvelle scored the 2nd goal in the 69th minute of play. The Americans defended their title as world champions, having won the World Cup in 2015. This is the U.S. women’s fourth World Cup title.
In the Concacaf Golf Cup match Mexico defeated the USA mens national team 1-0. Mexico scored the lone goal in the 73rd minute of play.
