The Kansas City Royals were shutout by the Cleveland Indians 4-0 Wednesday night.
The Royals were shutout on 5 hits, stranded 7 base runners and struck out 9 times.
Cleveland scored their first run on a wild pitch. Carlos Santana hit a solo home run and Roberto Perez hit a 2 run home run. Royals Manager Ned Yost was still pleased with the outting of Danny Duffy who lasted 6 and 2 thirds innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 3 strikeouts and 5 walks.
The Royals and Indians are scheduled to wrap up their 3 game series Thursday afternoon. Homer Bailey will be on the mound for the Royals with first pitch at 12:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
