The Toronto Blue Jays rallied for a 6-2 win over the Kansas City Royals Friday night.
The Royals were leading 2-0 after a solo home run by Martin Maldonado and a RBI single from Alex Gordon. Toronto then hit 4 home runs while scoring 6 runs in innings 6, 7 and 8. Danny Duffy cruised thru the first 5 innings before giving up 2 runs in the 6th and a run in the 7th.
The Royals and Blue Jays play again Saturday afternoon. Homer Bailey will be on the mound for the Royals with first pitch at 3:07. Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 2:30p.
Royals minor league pitcher Brady Singer, who was a first round draft pick last season, has been selected to play in the futures game. The game will be a part of All-Star game and will be played July 7th.
Omaha Storm Chasers outfielder Bubba Starling has been selected to participate in the 2019 Triple-A All-Star Game, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 10 in El Paso, Texas.
