With an agreement finalized for Emporia’s Fourth of July fireworks show, official plans are also in place for viewing the show at Emporia State University.
Once again, the city says the best viewing will be inside Welch Stadium, although the parking lot north of the Student Recreation Building will be another popular viewing spot. As has been the case for the past several years, tailgating will be allowed at ESU parking lots but alcoholic beverages and fireworks will be forbidden.
The show should begin between 9:45 and 10 pm and should last 20-30 minutes. There is no rain or inclement weather date for the show this year.
