Topeka-native Gary Woodland shot two-under par, Sunday, to hold off Brooks Koepka and claim the U.S. Open championship at Pebble Beach.
Woodland, who began the final round with a one-shot lead, says he and his caddy wanted to be aggressive and keep grinding until the final putt.
Woodland finished 13-under par, three shots ahead of Koepka, to claim his first major championship.
