(kcroyals.com) After taking Monday off the Kansas City Royals begin a 3 game series with the Detroit Tigers Tuesday night.
Jakob Junis will be on the mound for the Royals with first pitch set for 7:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30pm.
The Royals are now 20-45 and have won only 2 of their last 13 games. Manager Ned Yost says part of that can be traced to, to many strikeouts.
The Royals are tied with Baltimore for the worst record in the Majors.
The first update of All-Star voting is in, and the Royals have four players, led by third baseman Hunter Dozier, in the top 10 at their respective positions.
Dozier is third in the voting for AL third basemen.
Whit Merrifield was sixth among second baseman.
Adalberto Mondesi was eighth among shortstops.
Catcher Martin Maldonado was ninth.
