Boston completed a sweep of Kansas City Thursday. The Red Sox out scored the Royals 7-5.
Cheslor Cuthbert gave the Royals the early lead with a homerun in the 2nd inning. Boston took the lead with 4 runs in the 3rd inning. They would add 3 runs in the 7th.
Jorge Soler hit a solo home run in the 5th for the Royals and Alex Gordon added a homerun in the 7th.
The Royals have now lost 6 in a row.
They will begin a weekend series with the Chicago White Sox Friday night.
