A change in leadership will be coming to the Symphony in the Flint Hills this year after their upcoming signature event.
Current Executive Director Christy Davis stated that she would be leaving the organization after the annual event. At the start of the year, the organization’s board members began the process of filling the position. After one hundred potential candidates, the board settled on Leslie Von Holten of Lawrence. Von Holten talks about what qualifies her for this role.
Board Chair Mike Stout says he’s excited for the direction Von Holten will take the organization in. Von Holten is strong on environmental preservation and Stout says this is a vital part of Symphony in the Flint Hills.
The Symphony in the Flint Hills signature event begins on June 15th and tickets are still available. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit their website at symphonyintheflinthills.org.
