Vendors and shoppers flooded the square at the Emporia Farmer’s Market for the midweek market opener on Wednesday.
The Emporia Farmer’s Market officially kicked off the summer season on May 4th with the Saturday morning markets; but after Wednesday, they will also take place on every Wednesday evening during the summer.
One way the Farmer’s Market is trying to make shopping more efficient is offering a ‘token program’ for those without cash on them. Market Manager Jessica Hopkins explains how this works.
The Midweek Market will feature a different set of vendors and programs than the Saturday Morning Market. If anyone is interested in becoming a vendor, Hopkins talks about the process.
A full list of programs and activities plus additional information can be found on the Emporia Farmer’s Market Facebook Page or at emporiafarmersmarket.org.
