The Emporia Farmer’s Market will be kicking off the summer season with the start of it’s Wednesday market.
The start of the Wednesday market will bring in more themes and activities to the market this summer. Emporia Farmer’s Market Coordinator Jessica Hopkins lists off all of the events planned for the season.
The Farmer’s Market will also be located in Olpe and Americus starting this year. The rural markets are being funded by Healthier Lyon County and will be used to help combat food deserts, areas of a community where there aren’t easily accessible food sources like grocery stores, in those communities.
The Olpe market will be on Tuesdays until 5 pm and the Americus Market will be on Fridays at 5 pm. These markets will continue until the end of October.
