There is a risk of severe thunderstorms areawide by mid-afternoon.
Officially, the risk is slight, and the overall chance of thunderstorms is not great. Hail to the size of golf balls and wind gusts as high as 60 to 70 mph are the main concerns starting after 3 pm. Brief heavy rain is also possible with any storms that develop.
Storms should clear of the area before mid-evening, if not sooner.
