A man with Morris County convictions for burglary and aggravated battery now faces a federal indictment for illegal gun activity by a felon in Shawnee County.
Jacob Gragg, 33, has been charged with single counts of unlawful possession of a machine gun, unlawful possession of an unregistered machine gun, possession of explosives and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Investigators say they seized seven so-called Glock switches after Gragg allegedly bought the equipment from a Chinese company. Advertisements said the product would convert all Glock pistol models to “full auto” by preventing the trigger bar from limiting the weapon to only one round fired when the trigger was squeezed.
Investigators also say they seized half a pound of Tannerite, which uses an oxidizer and fuel to explode. Those components are inert until triggered, usually by high-velocity bullets.
Gragg was convicted in 2013 on the Morris County charges. He has also been convicted on drug and firearms counts in Shawnee County in 2009 and 2012.
