The candidate filing and withdrawal deadline is now less than a week away across Kansas.
The latest filing was handed in Monday morning. Aaron Atchison filed for Bushong City Council, joining Manuel Jackson as candidates for that board.
So far, not enough candidates have filed to force a primary election with any of the school board, city council or city commissions. Several positions, including Admire mayor, Admire City Council, Allen mayor, Hartford mayor, Hartford City Council, Neosho Rapids mayor and Olpe mayor, have no candidates at this time.
