An Emporia man was among several people needing medical attention after a crash in Harvey County on Saturday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Carson Haury of Emporia was westbound on US Highway 50 and approaching Halstead Road when the wreck happened shortly after 1 pm. The Highway Patrol says an unknown vehicle entered the road at the junction of US-50 and Halstead. Haury made an evasive maneuver, but his car still crossed the center line and hit an eastbound SUV driven by 30-year-old Dylan Mueller of Burrton.
Haury was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment afterward. His condition has not been released. Two people in Mueller’s SUV were taken to St. Francis in Wichita for observation and possible treatment.
All people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
