Weather again forced the postponement of the State High School Track and Field meet Saturday.
The meet will resume Sunday at 10am with the field events. Track events will resume at 11am.
Emporia High and area athletes still have the 4 by 400 relay and several field events to finish.
Emporia High athletes picked up 6 medals Saturday.
Taylor Milleson finished in 2nd place in the shot put.
Rafael Vasquez finished 2nd and Matthew East finished 5th in the 300 hurdles.
Elizabeth Schwerdtfeger finished in 5th place in the long jump.
Alexis Davies finished in 5th place in the 400 meter dash.
Isaac Huber finished in 8th place in the pole vault.
Area athletes earned 32 medals Saturday including 7 second place finishes.
Tucker Day of Council Grove finished in 2nd place in both the shot put and discuss.
Madisons Emily Farrow had the 2nd best high jump.
Max Blaufuss of Olpe had the 2nd best javelin throw.
Ashlynn Doebele of Burlington finished 2nd in the long jump. She also finished 7th in the 400.
Khylee Massey of Northern Heights had the 2nd longest discuss throw.
The Olpe boys 4 by 800 relay team finished in 2nd place.
