Lyon, Coffey, Morris and Osage counties have now been placed into a severe thunderstorm watch by the National Weather Service.
The watch goes until 3 am Sunday with hail, high winds and possible tornadic activity as the main concerns. Meanwhile, Chase County remains in a watch until midnight Saturday.

Potential severe weather may be rearing its ugly head once again in the KVOE listening area as a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for one county so far.
Chase County has been placed in a watch until midnight Saturday. The major hazards include ping pong sized hail, wind gusts as high as 70 mph and possible tornadic activity.
