A tornado watch affects much of the KVOE listening area Thursday night.
Lyon, Chase, Greenwood, Morris and Wabaunsee counties are on the eastern edge of a tornado watch effective until midnight. Besides tornadoes, hail up to 2 inches in diameter, winds as high as 65 mph and heavy rain are possible with any storms that develop through the evening hours.
