Area high school baseball and softball teams wrapped up regional tournament play Wednesday.
The Burlington baseball team earned a trip to State. The Wildcats defeated Prairie View 7-3 in the championship game. In their semi-final game they defeated West Franklin 20-1.
The 3A State baseball tournament will be played at Emporias Sodens Grove.
The Mission Valley baseball team was defeated by Rossville 20-0 in the Wabaunsee regional championship game.
The Mission Valley softball team was defeated by Oskaloosa 9-7 in the McLouth regional championship game.
At the Osage City Regional, Silver Lake out scored Burlington 5-2 in the championship game. In the semi-finals Silver Lake out scored Osage City 3-1. Burlington defeated Prairie View 13-0.
