A first court appearance is coming at the end of May for a former Chase County detention officer accused of two different kinds of criminal activity.
Maudi McCorgary was arrested May 9 on suspicion of one count of unlawful sexual relations and three counts of trafficking contraband into a correctional facility. Sheriff Richard Dorneker says formal charges have been filed in the case.
McCorgary’s first court appearance is at 10 am May 31. Further details about the case have not yet been released.
