Commencements have concluded for Emporia State University.
ESU held three sets of graduation activities, with graduate students getting their degrees Friday night, undergraduate students in Liberal Arts and Sciences picking up diplomas Saturday morning and students in the School of Business and Teachers College obtaining their degrees Saturday afternoon.
President Allison Garrett says it’s a rewarding time for the university, its students and student families.
Garrett says students are drawn to ESU because of the strength of its programs, but also because of the relatively low student debt load and high placement rates for different fields. She also encouraged graduates to work hard towards their goals as they either continue their education or enter the work world.
Close to 600 students in total picked up degrees this weekend.
