The Kansas City Royals scored four runs in the first and sixth in the eighth enroute to a 15-3 win over the Detroit Tigers Saturday.
Every Royals batter who stepped up to the plate either collected a hit or drove in a run. Royal’s third baseman Kelvin Gutierrez had four hits and a stolen base and left fielder Alex Gordon drove in five runs and with two coming off a home run in the first inning.
The Royals and Tigers are now even in their three-game series which comes to a close Sunday. Pre-game set for noon with first pitch set for 12:10 pm.
Brad Keller will be the starting pitcher.
