The citizens of Emporia were getting happy and healthy at the Farmers Market opener on Saturday.

With a wide selection of vegetables, pies, soaps, jams, jellies, and eggs the event is a great place to find organic alternatives. The market is important to vendors and locals alike. Local vendor Jeannette Hurshman, touches on why it’s important.
